What is the art?

Art has always been a delicate subject, anyone could have a different definition of what art means. Even more so if we think about including technology in this question.

Who decides what can be considered artistic? There are usually critics to define this, but the world changes and with it the criteria that we must consider also change.

For example: In 1927, when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was founded, the direction of this organization was very clear, even if only as a concept. And it took more than 70 years for it to be considered an Oscar award for an animated film, since these have existed commercially since 1937 and as a format since 1915. So, why wait so long to recognize their importance?

The list goes on and on... we have:

-3D rendered movie.

-Comics

-Stop motion

-Video game.

-Virtual reality.

Each of these disciplines went through, or are still going through, the same questioning.

-and now, artificial intelligence is integrated participating in the creation of literature, musicals, animations and images.

So is all this art?

Keeping in mind that in most of these disciplines technology is part of the creative process and that the concept of creation is different, we cannot judge mastery in the strokes as in painting, nor intensity of acting as in cinema, nor the quality finishing as in sculpture. But obviously, we could not include special effects or green screen scenes among these disciplines, so it would be unfair to leave them out of this list. We just have to accept that technology is not the enemy of art, but a tool like the painter's brush or the photographer's camera,

So the answer is... Yes, yes it is art, but it is not the same type of art and therefore, they should not be judged in the same way.

You must appreciate the approach, the idea of origin, the vision and the patience to obtain a result but without a doubt they must be considered in today's world as another chapter in history.
