The digital artist

There are people (like me, for example) who have a great interest in art, but perhaps have a more technological focus. Of course I am not saying that they do not have the necessary talent to create a masterpiece on their own, but they chose to use these new tools to venture into a world of edges that is somewhat different from the conventional one.

The territory is new, so I wouldn't venture to predict the path we should follow to excel in this job... Yes, I called it a job because artificial intelligence is here to stay, and apparently it can do many things faster than we thought. any human could even imagine, but it is not something that exists to replace humanity, nor take their job position or their role as artists.

Those who decide to learn to work with technology and take advantage of it to their advantage have a guaranteed job, because although it seems that a sufficiently powerful AI can do everything by itself, this is not the case, there must always be someone guiding it, and that someone ( among many others) can be a digital artist.

For some this is a game, mere fun. for others, a hobby to which they dedicate a lot of time and effort. Others can turn it into a source of income, (marketing, animation, decoration, etc.) perhaps something to show to the world. However, before writing this blog, I took the time to meet several of these artists who have dedicated long and exhausting hours to the perfect creation, as close as possible to the idea they had in mind. I have seen spectacular projects, worthy of admiration, and behind those projects there is always someone whose soul is engraved in each of their achievements. That is why I decided to refer to each of them as an artist.

I could never judge those who consider the digital artist as someone who does not try hard enough and who looks for a shortcut to achieve a result that perhaps has meant a much greater sacrifice for other types of artists, I have no authority to judge those who think So. But I would invite all of them to try to explore this world and experience first-hand the creative process, development, planning and discover what it means for the digital artist to obtain an image, video, experience or achievement worthy of showing to the world.
